General Pet Care and Support
Hi there,
I recently lost my boy Theo, leaving his brother Vincent alone.
As Vincent is only 2.5 years old, I didn’t want to leave him alone for long so I adopted Sky, a 3 year old boy who had been alone for 6 months following his own brother’s passing. I used the split cage method (as per Timon and Pumba’s videos and guides!) and very happy to report Vincent and Sky bonded quite quickly and seem very happy together. They have similar energies and are both adults, so that definitely played a big part in it.
I’m now preparing the larger enclosure to move them in soon. I’ve binned all the hides, toys and wheel and got brand new ones. I’m deep cleaning the tub and even the topper. My question is, should I deep clean the wooden base of the topper? If so, what’s the best way to do this? I’m using F10 diluted to clean everything else, but not sure this will be good on a wooden surface?
Or am I being way too neurotic about removing Theo’s scent before putting Vincent back in with Sky?
Thanks!
